I first worked with Sumaiya last term as a part of the team that organized WATSpeak. It was clear from the first time that I met her that she was an incredible person. Sumaiya is hard working, ambitious, rational, and a gifted speaker. I believe that Sumaiya’s presence on council would benefit Math students and the University community

Sam Andrey
Sam Andrey is running for 2008-09 FEDS Science Councillor. He has been a councillor for the past year and in that time has developed the experience and knowledge needed to serve and represent the Faculty of Science. He will continue to speak up and fight for the interests of students to both university administration and government leaders, and continue to take SciSoc office hours to improve consultation.

Humberto Vigil
Humberto Vigil is running for the position of Science Councillor in the 2008/2009 FEDS elections. Serving as a councillor this past year, he realized that anyone can make a difference to enhance the lives of all UW students. For that reason, he will continue to echo the voices of you, his constituents, to the appropriate leaders and administrators to bring about change for the better.

Yuwei Liang
I am really proud to have Yuwei as part of Team Yellow. Yuwei’s enthusiasm and thoughtfulness are the trademarks of a great councillor. In her first year on campus Yuwei has become involved in her student association and residence council, holding positions for both organizations. I look forward to her development on council, as I am confident that she will be a strong representative for the constituency of Science.

Matthew Colphon
During his previous tenure, Matt began a number of initiatives to increase the visibility of science councillors within the faculty, and will continue to ensure that councillors are accessible and able to represent constituents in person and electronically. He plans to be an information source that connects science students to the many resources that the Federation of Students and the University of Waterloo have to offer, and create awareness of the amazing opportunities and outstanding issues that face undergraduate science students.

Chris Neal
Chris Neal is running for the 2008-2009 St. Jerome’s Councillor spot on FEDS Students’ Council. For the past two years he’s sat on council gaining experience as well as representing the interests of St. Jerome’s. Re-electing him can only lead to him continuing his track record at fighting for what students at St. Jerome’s want.
